Last year we celebrated the 50th anniversary of the screening of one of the most popular musicals. Director Norman Jewison launched an impressive production process and recruited many talents to work on this project, which resulted in three Oscars and the film becoming remarkably popular. With the participation of its creators (and not only), the documentary tries to explore the phenomenon of the cinema version of ‘The Fiddler of the Roof’. It presents a variety of contexts related to its development, including literature, film, politics, history and obviously music. The story is narrated by an actor, Jeff Goldblum.

Daniel Raim attended the American Film Institute in LA. Raim is known for his documentaries about overlooked cinema artists, including The Man on Lincoln's Nose, nominated for the 2001 Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Subject. Raim's 2015 doc Harold and Lillian: A Hollywood Love Story premiered as an Official Selection of the Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for The Golden Eye (L’Œil d'or, le prix du documentaire - Cannes). In addition to his theatrical films, Daniel has written, produced, and directed 28 original documentaries for the Criterion Collection about cinema masters.
