How much are a festival pass, a ticket, and accreditation?

Here you can find the prices of tickets, festival passes and accreditations.

How can I buy festival passes?

All the time you can buy the festival passes online. During the festival, at the cinemas and the festival centre, it will be possible to buy festival passes with a cinema extra fee.

Does the pass entitle me to participate in all paid festival events?

The pass and the reduced-price festival pass entitle you to participate in all online screenings. The Festival Pass 10 entitles you to participate in 10 selected online film screenings.
To watch the films at the cinema, you must have the cinema extra fee of 20 PLN.

What is the cinema extra fee?

The cinema extra fee entitles you to admission to all screenings at the cinemas. It is available only to the holders of festival passes and reduced-price festival passes.
When purchasing a pass at the cinemas and the festival centre, it will be added automatically.
The cinema extra fee does not entitle you to participate in the closing ceremony of the festival, for which the purchase of a separate ticket is necessary (30 PLN).

Who is entitled to a reduced-price festival pass?

Pupils and students aged 26 and under, elderly people aged 65 and over, the holders of the Large Family Card, the Krakow Card, the retired people, pensioners and persons with disabilities.
To watch the films at the cinema, you must have the cinema extra fee of 20 PLN.

Do I have to create My KFF account to buy a pass?

Do you want to watch the films only at the cinemas? You do not have to create a “My KFF” account. You can buy a festival pass with the cinema extra fee directly at the cinemas and the festival centre.
Do you want to watch the films online? Sign up and log in to My KFF to buy a festival pass. You can use an account created in previous years.

Can I buy multiple festival passes?

By logging in to My KFF, you can buy only 1 festival pass. To buy another one, sign up for a new My KFF account.

I want to buy a festival pass for the entire festival but I still have an unused pass for 10 screenings.

To be able to buy another festival pass, you have to use the one for 10 screenings until it ends.

Are there any events for which there are no festival passes, accreditations or tickets?

Yes. Events broadcast on social media, such as meetings with the film-makers (Q&As), are free and open to the public. The films from the series Kids&Youth Fest. Cinema for the Young and the Sounds of Music in the open-air Kino pod Wawelem are also free of charge.

Do I have to download a ticket for an online screening if I have a festival pass?

Yes. Log in to My KFF and download free tickets for selected film screenings. The number of tickets for online screenings is limited, so don’t wait till the last moment.

Do I have to download a ticket for a screening at the cinema if I have a festival pass?

Yes. Log in to My KFF and download free tickets for selected film screenings or collect it at the cinema or festival centre.

What are free tickets?

Free tickets are used by the holders of festival passes and accreditations to book seats at the selected cinema and online screenings.
There are limits of seats for all screenings, both at the cinemas and online.

How to get a free ticket for an online screening?

If you have a festival pass or accreditation, log in to My KFF, find the screening you want to watch in the programme and download a free ticket.

How to get a free ticket for a screening at the cinema?

If you have a festival pass with a cinema extra fee or an accreditation, log in to My KFF, find the screening you want to watch in the programme and download a free ticket. You can also collect your free ticket at the cinema box office or festival centre during the festival.

Where can I find a free ticket that has already been downloaded?

All downloaded free tickets are available on your My KFF.

I have a festival pass, can I download a free ticket for a screening that is underway?

Yes, but this only applies to online screenings. You can do it no later than 30 minutes after the start time of the screening, on the condition that seats are available.

What is the difference between a festival pass and an accreditation?

Festival passes are intended for viewers all over Poland. Accreditations are intended for the film industry, the students of art schools, of film studies and film schools as well as journalists.

Until when can I buy a pass?

Until the 6th of June 2021.

How can I collect the purchased festival pass?

After receiving the payment, the festival pass purchased online will be available on your My KFF. You will also receive purchase confirmation and payment confirmation by e-mail. Remember to download free tickets for the screenings of your choice.
A festival pass with a cinema extra fee can also be purchased at the cinema or festival centre during the festival.

Can I buy an additional ticket after purchasing a festival pass?

Yes, using a different e-mail address than the one used when purchasing a festival pass.
Additional tickets can also be purchased for the screenings at the cinema.

I want to cancel the online screening for which I have a free ticket and choose another one.

You can do it within 30 minutes after the start time of the screening, specified in the programme. Log in to My KFF and cancel the previously downloaded ticket. In this way, you will free up seats for other keen viewers.

I have received a free ticket for an expired screening, can I watch another screening?

No. An unused ticket does not entitle you to watch another screening.

During a screening, can I cancel watching and select another one?

Yes, if you have a festival pass or accreditation, you can cancel the downloaded tickets within 30 minutes after the start time of the screening, specified in the programme. You can download a ticket for another screening no later than 30 minutes after its starting time.
No, if you do not have a festival pass or an accreditation.

I cannot make up my mind which screening to choose, can I download tickets for two screenings that begin at the same time?

No. You can download only one ticket for a selected time.

I have bought a festival pass for online screenings, can I change my mind and choose a festival pass for screenings at the cinema? 

Yes. In order to watch films at the cinemas, it is enough to buy the cinema extra fee of 20 PLN.

Do I have to create a My KFF account to buy a ticket for a selected cinema screening?

No. A cinema ticket can be purchased directly at the cinema or online without creating a My KFF account.

Do I have to create a My KFF account to buy a ticket for a selected online screening?

No. However, if you have a My KFF account you get convenient access to all tickets you have purchased.

When can I buy tickets?

Tickets are available from the 20th of May 2021.

The film I wanted to see at the cinema started 15 minutes ago, can I still buy a ticket and watch it from the beginning?

No. You can buy a ticket only before the start of the screening. Remember that each film is presented several times at the festival. Check if the selected film is available on a different day and buy a ticket for the upcoming screening.

The film I wanted to see online has started 15 minutes ago. Can I still buy a ticket and watch it from the beginning?

Yes. The tickets for online screenings can be purchased up to 30 minutes after the start time of the screening.

How will I receive the purchased ticket?

You will receive the access code to the screening by e-mail after purchasing the ticket. If you cannot find the e-mail in your inbox, check the spam folder. 
All tickets purchased by the holders of    My KFF   will be available after logging in to the user’s account.
The tickets for cinema screenings can also be purchased at the cinemas and the festival centre during the festival.

I have a My KFF account, will the ticket be available there, after the purchase?

Yes. By logging in to My KFF you get convenient access to all online tickets you have purchased.

Can I buy more than one ticket for a selected screening?

You can buy only one ticket for a selected screening from one e-mail address. If you want to buy an additional ticket, do it using another e-mail address.

Can I return a ticket that has already been purchased?

No. The exception is when the screening is cancelled. Check the ticket return policy in RULES AND REGULATIONS.

How to collect a ticket won in the competition?

The ticket won in a competition will be sent to you by e-mail together with the instruction.

I have a ticket for the online screening, can I enter the cinema with it?

No, separate tickets are required for the screenings at the cinema. 

I have a cinema ticket, but I prefer to watch the film online, is it possible?

No, separate tickets are required for the online screenings.

Until when can I buy a ticket for the online screening?

You can do it no later than 30 minutes after the start time of the screening, on the condition that seats are available.

Can I use one ticket several times?

No. Each ticket is valid only once and it applies to a specific screening. 

Why can’t I watch online films from abroad?

Due to licensing and the distribution policy of the film-makers, the films are available only in Poland.

What are the types of accreditation and what do they entitle you to?

There are three types of accreditations available for the representatives of the film industry, art school students and the media.
The accreditation Industry: entitling to use the online and cinema festival screenings, accompanying events and the events of the KFF Industry (including KFF Video Library).
The accreditation Media: intended only for journalists who will report the festival on the news. It entitles you to use the online and cinema festival screenings, accompanying events and the events of the KFF Industry (including KFF Video Library).
Accreditation Student: intended for the students of art schools (film schools, academies of fine arts, film studies, others). It entitles you to use online and cinema festival screenings and to participate in selected events held within the frames of the KFF Industry.

Do I have to create an account “My KFF” to buy an accreditation?

Yes. Create an account or log in to My KFF and fill in the accreditation form before purchasing an accreditation.

I have accreditation and I am outside Poland, how can I watch the festival films?

Online film screenings are available only in Poland. If you are abroad during the festival, watch the films in the KFF Video Library.

If I have an accreditation, can I buy another accreditation or a festival pass?

No. The accreditation is linked to the account My KFF and the e-mail address used for registration.

Until when can I accredit myself at the Festival?

Until the 6th of June 2021.

How to check if the accreditation was successful?

After receiving the payment, your accreditation will be available in My KFF.

If I have an accreditation, do I still need to collect a free ticket?

If you are in Poland and want to participate in online screenings, and your accreditation allows you to watch films during the festival, you have to download free tickets. Regardless of where you are, you can use the KFF Video Library, where you will find all the festival films.

I have a ticket for an expired screening, can I watch another screening?

No. An unused ticket does not entitle you to watch another screening.

I want to cancel the online screening for which I have a free ticket and choose another one.

You can do it within 30 minutes after the start time of the screening, specified in the programme. Log in to My KFF and cancel the previously downloaded ticket. In this way, you will free up seats for other keen viewers.

Can I watch an online screening that is already underway?

Yes, if you have an accreditation. Download the free ticket within 30 minutes after the start time of the screening specified in the programme. You will start watching the screening from the beginning.

I have accreditation and I want to watch screenings at the cinemas, what should I do?

Download your free film ticket via the website or at the cinema box offices and the festival centre.

What is a My KFF account?

It is your virtual space at the Krakow Film Festival, where all information about your festival passes, tickets and screenings that interest you is collected.

My KFF allows you to:
– purchase festival passes, accreditations and tickets for the screenings
– create your own festival programme
– conveniently access purchased/downloaded tickets

How can I create My KFF account?

Here you can sign up.

Do I have to create a new account if I used My KFF in previous years?

No. Your login and password will work.

What is a screening?

A screening is a series of films consisting of one or more films.
The screenings take place online and at the cinemas.

Can I watch online screenings abroad?

No. Online festival screenings are available only to viewers located in Poland. The location is determined based on the IP address, used by the viewer to connect to the website of the festival.

Can I watch an online screening, which is already underway, from the very beginning?

Yes. If you have a ticket (paid or free), you can start watching the screening at the latest before the scheduled end time specified in the programme. The screening will play in full.

Can I buy a ticket for one selected film? How to do it?

The tickets are sold for screenings, which may consist of more than one film. Choose a film and buy a ticket for the screening.
It is not possible to buy a ticket only for one selected film from a given screening, but in the case of online screenings, the viewer can rewind the films.

Are all films available in Polish and English?

Yes. Some of the films have embedded English subtitles which cannot be disabled.
The series Kids&Youth. Cinema for the Young is available only in Polish.

Can I start every online screening at any time during the Festival?

No. The screenings in the Programme are scheduled for specific hours and days, and most of the films are shown at least twice. Thanks to this, there are several opportunities to watch the selected film during the Festival.

I have a festival pass, which screenings can I watch and how to do it?

The number of screenings, which you can watch, depends on the type of your festival pass. Log in to My KFF select a screening in the programme and download a free ticket. You can download free tickets for the entire festival right away. 

I have a festival pass, where can I bookmark the screenings that I am interested in?

You can add the screenings, which you are interested in, to the favourites and they will be visible on your My KFF.

Can I pause or rewind the film during an online screening?

Yes. An online screening can be paused and rewound.

I have a pass. Which screenings can I watch and how?

The number of screenings you have access to depends on the type of the pass. After logging in to My KFF find a screening you want to watch and download the free ticket.

I have a pass for the whole festival. Where can I save the screenings I want to see?

You can add the screenings you like to your favourites which are visible in your My KFF account.

I downloaded 5 free tickets for screenings. Where can I find them?

Your tickets are visible in My KFF account and available after you log in.

There are screenings for kids in the Festival programme. Can I watch the screening chosen for myself and show my kids a different film on another computer at the same time?

Yes. You need to have tickets for both of them.

Can I pause or rewind a film during the screening?

Yes. You can pause or rewind a screening.

Are there any free events?

Yes. Events broadcast on social media, such as meetings with the film-makers (Q&As), are free and open to the public. The screenings for children and teenagers within the frames Kids&Youth. Cinema for the Young and the screenings of the Sounds of Music in the open-air Kino pod Wawelem are also free of charge.

Is there any film offer for children?

Yes. The series Kids & Youth. Cinema for the Young is addressed to children and teenagers. The screenings for children are free of charge.

Do I have to buy a ticket for a meeting with the director (Q&A)?

No. Meetings with film-makers are free of charge.

What browsers can I use to watch online screenings?

Chrome, Safari version 12 or higher, Firefox, Microsoft Edge.
We suggest installing the latest versions of the browsers.

In what quality are the online films available?

HD quality adapted to the internet speed during streaming: highest quality: 1080p, lowest: 540p.

What internet speed do I need to watch online films?

Minimum 2 Mbps, but we recommend using a connection of 10 Mbps or faster.

Online video won’t play or stutters, what causes this and what should I do?

Probably your internet connection is too slow or the device on which you are watching cannot play the film smoothly. Check your internet connection or try to open the website on a different device.

How can I pay for a ticket or a festival pass?

By payment card, electronic transfer, Blik, GooglePay, ApplePay.

After what time is my order cancelled?

After 15 minutes, if no payment confirmation is received by the system.

Can I make a payment for a ticket every day of the week?

The payments made by the customer depend on the bank in which they have their account. Some banks do not process payments on weekends. We advise you not to leave payments until the last minute or use a faster payment method, e.g. BLIK or a payment card.
