HIGHLIGHTS_OF_THE_DAY

Closing film (“All Inclusive”, dir. Malgorzata Szumowska, Maciej Englert) and Award Ceremony and screening of award-winning films (Kino Kijow, 18:00| 20:30)

Before the Award Ceremony, which will be held at Kino Kijów at 20:30, we cordially invite you to the film by Małgorzata Szumowska and Maciej Englert – “All Inclusive”)

“All Inclusive” takes us on a trip to Morocco with an extremely diverse group of tourists in terms of worldview and character. We get to know the full package of Polish attitudes, vices and characters. Malgorzata Szumowska and Michal Englert once again offer unobvious, original cinema that is difficult to pigeonhole.

DON’T_FORGET

Kids&Youth. “The Bears’ Famous Invasion of Sicily” by Lorenzo Mattotti (Kino Kijów, 11:00. Non-ticketed screening).

An animated tale about the existence of disparate worlds, the search for identity and the power of love and power, based on the book by Dino Buzzati.

“Submarine”, dir. Oliwia Zakrzewska (Kino Pod Baranami, 11:00)

Oliwia is experiencing a maternity crisis. She is a young single mother who raises her two-year-old son. Struggling with depression, she tries to seek help in many different ways – at counselling centres, church or Tinder.

“Comme Des Cowboys”, dir. Julia Sadowska (Kino Pod Baranami, godz. 11:00)

Can one’s adolescent love which ended with separation flourish again after years? Julita and Stacy parted ways, but now they meet again at a stud farm where Julita is working together with her mother. Stacy comes to participate in an important competition. The infatuation is back, but is it worth the reopening of old wounds?

Screening of the film “Of Caravan and The Dogs” by Askold Kurov, Anonymous 1 (ASP Cinema, 14:00 +Q&A)

In Russia, those who hail the truth are considered foreign intelligence agents. One example is journalists of Novaya Gazeta, which received the Nobel Peace Prize six months before the invasion of Ukraine. How to maintain independence when the screws are being put on even harder? The screening will be followed by a meeting with the filmmakers!

“Don Benjamin”, dir. Ivan Zahínos (Kino Pod Baranami, 15:30 +Q&A)

An unpretentious and poetic journey through a magical, endangered region of the Amazon rainforest in Bolivia. People living in the jungle are trying to restore the original state of the areas stripped bare of any trees.

“How to Skin a Cheetah?”, dir. Meghan O’Shaughnessy (Kino Pod Baranami, 15:30 +Q&A)

A macabre, coming-of-age story and a thriller in one. Meghan O’Shaughnessy invites the viewers to a maze full of traps, where fantasies of revenge intertwine with illness, lies, solitude, hopelessness, violence and dreams of a journey-escape to Tanzania.
