In present-day Mexico cartel violence has become a part of daily reality and videos of brutal executions circulate online as a gruesome show. In this world two young people are looking for their missing friend. Their journey takes them through game-like virtual space where real-life tragedies are transformed into digital images. The film’s hybrid form combines elements of animation, video games and virtual reality, creating a story about a generation growing up in fear and constant uncertainty.

A Mexican filmmaker with strong roots in audiovisual journalism. His work explores systemic violence and the poetry of the unseen. His debut premiered at Morelia Film Festival (Mexico) in 2021. In 2024, he developed « no_mercy_in_mexico» at the avant-garde film residency Nouvelle Bug (Italy) and premiered it at Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur 2025 (Switzerland).
