Puuluup - cables in the car

Estonia2026documentary96'DocFilmMusic competition

‘We’re fighting ageism in pop music!’ – declare two middle-aged gentlemen who almost a decade ago created the weirdest musical duo in Estonia. Using a traditional instrument called the talharpa, they pursue their own style, i.e. neo-zombie postfolk, which two years ago brought Puuluup all the way to the Eurovision Song Contest. With punk-rock verve, absurd sense of humour and varying success rate, the protagonists travel to various corners of the globe. They are searching for their own niche in show business and a loyal fanbase, but they also try to preserve their very odd ordinariness.
