Stefan Ivančic’s short film, shot in the style of social realism, upholds the best traditions of European cinema whilst capturing the stifling atmosphere of a Balkan metropolis. The film’s strength lies in its use of evocative detail and unobtrusive symbolism. These two qualities enable the audience, for just over 10 minutes, to breathe in the same rhythm as the protagonist.

A film director, producer and programmer born in Belgrade, SFR Yugoslavia. He graduated Film directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, Belgrade. His short films have been selected in many international festivals such Cannes, Rotterdam, FID Marseille, San Sebastian, Visions du Réel and Torino, among others. He is the producer of the feature film 'The Load' (2018) by Ognjen Glavonic, premiered at the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes, and 'Wind, Talk to Me' (2025) by Stefan Djordjevic, premiered in the Tiger Competition of the IFF Rotterdam.
