Song of the Night

Poland2026fiction30'National competition

When a young man turns up at the home of a distinguished elderly couple, the meeting of the three people becomes a unique moment of confessions that have been held back for a lifetime. In the face of death, the protagonist, played by Olgierd Łukaszewicz, reveals a hidden truth, whilst the stranger’s presence releases emotions and impulses that can no longer be contained. Oskar Sadowski’s ‘Song of the Night’ is an intimate, intensely sensual tale of love, loneliness, fear and courage that only comes at the end of life.
