During the lockdown, the director films flocks of birds circling above his hometown in Spain. The repetitive rhythm and freedom of movement contrast with the experience of isolation and remind him of the moment of his HIV diagnosis, when the sense of fear and exclusion was similar. This personal story is set within a broader context, which includes references to the history of AIDS and Candomblé rituals. At the same time, we can see a long-distance relationship with a partner in Brazil develop – under the conditions of isolation and lockdown, the couple’s daily communication proves to be fundamental to maintaining intimacy.
