This Room Is Impossible to Eat

Slovakia2025fiction11'Short film competition

Tereza, a teenager, is incredibly bold, especially in art lessons. Whilst the rest of the class is creating their artwork, she defiantly hands in a blank sheet of paper, claiming she has depicted a wall. She knows she can get away with more. She is in love with her teacher, and he has no qualms about exploiting this within the privacy of his own home. In this short film, Emília Ondriašová adopts the unconventional perspective of an exploited teenager to show just how seductive grooming can be for a young, inexperienced person who has no support from a passive parent.
