All I Need Is a Ball

An uplifting story that blends football, acrobatics and feminism. The protagonist is the undisputed freestyle champion of Spain, yet she does not feel at ease in this solitary role. Her goal is to build a community of women who juggle footballs. The film tackles a subject that increasingly, though still rarely, features in the mainstream media – women achieving outstanding results in stereotypically ‘male’ sports disciplines. In Paloma’s story, it is not only her achievements in freestyle football shows that matter but also her ability to unlock the potential of other women and support their visibility.
