Ghosts
Poland2026fiction19'[PL AD + SDH screening]
Some people travel to places, while others escape from them. Two random passengers meet in a train compartment. An all-night solitary journey across Poland encourages Andrzej and Jaśmina to strike up a conversation. The girl is still young and seems to have no particular destination in sight, though she is searching for a direction in life and desires change. The man, on the other hand, after many years, summons the courage to face a ghost from the past. Karol Ulman has created an exceptionally stylish yet unsettling tale about confronting one’s inner self, which serves as a unique tribute to Jerzy Kawalerowicz’s famous film ‘The Train’.
