A theatre or a sect? Art or violence? For the first time the members of the legendary theatre collective Workcenter founded by Jerzy Grotowski speak so frankly about their experiences related to work using the methods devised by one of the greatest revolutionaries in Polish and international theatre. After Grotowski’s death, Thomas Richards, his major collaborator, continues the efforts initiated by the master. In a closed centre, he is working with a group of actors who continue to be put to the test and need to go beyond their boundaries. Will the centre manage to pass the test of time and accept the arrival of the generation raised in a different reality than the one created by Grotowski?
