Body

3 films
When the theme is the body, the focus is rarely on physicality only. That is why this film set contains three pictures that show physicality in nonobvious ways. We can discover, for example, that the universal cult of a smooth face is not always and everywhere what it seems, and that it is easier to bare your soul in a lingerie shop. In today’s globalised world, the body can also be a symbol of inequality — rented for money and ruined in the name of the struggle for existence. The documentaries from this collection tell stories in a variety of ways: lightly, with naturalism reminiscent of a body horror or with a large dose of emotion.
