The pogrom in Jedwabne in 1941 was a white spot in Polish history for a long time. It was not until Jan Tomasz Gross’s book ‘Neighbours’ that the debate on Polish-Jewish relations during the occupation was launched. The film shows how this subject divided Poles and was appropriated by historical politics.
